City Walls, the memorial Hadrian Arch and The
Clock Tower are remarkable and date back to Hellenistic
era. Hadrian’s Gate; the Romans in honor of the Emperor
Hadrian constructed this ornamental marble arch in 2nd century BC. It
is the most amazing area in the whole ancient Pamphylia region. Kesik
Minaret (Broken Minaret); once a Byzantine Panaglia church, later
converted into a mosque. Yivli Minaret; the Seljuks built
this fluted minaret of 13th-century. Decorated with dark blue and turquoise
tiles, the minaret eventually became the symbol of the city. Kaleici;
this is the nucleus of the city, which embraced many civilizations.
It is now restored and has become a very attractive tourist centre
with its hotels, restaurants, and shopping and entertainment facilities.
Kaleici retains all the original ancient Turkish archeological characteristics. The
port’s marina has been completely restored and is well-worth
visiting. The restoration activities in Kaleici won the Golden Apple
Prize, the Oscar of Tourism, in 1984. Düden or Kurşunlu
Waterfall; the loveliest waterfalls along the Antalya-Alanya highway… Antalya Museum; A
prize-winning museum and one of the most notable archeology museums
of the world. It is also the only museum in Turkey with a children’s
department exhibiting ancient monuments appealing to children.

October 16 or October 22, 2008 – Day 2
Full-day tour with lunch Tour will start with a visit to the ancient Hippodrome, the place where chariot races used to be hold during the Byzantine Era and will continue to a visit of the church of Hagia Sophia. Built by Constantine the Great in the 4th Century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th Century, Hagia Sophia is one of the world’s architectural marvels. Lunch will be served at the Konyalı Restaurant within the Topkapı Palace. After lunch, the tour will continue visiting the Topkapi Palace. The great Palace of the Ottoman Sultans from the 15th to the 19th Cebtury was the private residence of the Sultans. Today’s museum is housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver and Chinese porcelain, the famous jewels of the Imperail Treasury. The last highlight of the day will be a visit to the world famous Grand Covered Bazaar. In the 15th Century Sultan Mehmet II built the first Bazaar on wood which was reconstructed in the 19th Century. In labyrinth of streets and passages there are more than 4.000 shops.
After the tour, return to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

October 20, 2008 – Day 1
Afternoon departure from your Hotel in Antalya to Pamukkale Pamukkale is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Turkey. The big attraction is a vast white cliff side with scallop-shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls. It looks as if it's made out of snow or cloud or balls of cotton. The scientific explanation is that hot thermal springs pouring down the hillside deposit calcium carbonate, which solidifies as travertine.
Rest of the day will be at leisure and overnight in Pamukkale. |

October 21, 2008 – Day 2
After breakfast departure for a full day tour of the ancient city of Hierapolis. The city was founded in 190 B.C. by Eumenes II, king of Pergamon. In the 2nd and 3rd centuries, it reached the height of its development as a Roman thermal bath center. The tour will include visits to the ruins of the biggest Necropolis graveyard of the ancient world, Roman baths, basilica and calcium cliffs, magnificient temple of Apollo, the theater. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Dinner & overnight in Pamukkale. |

October 22, 2008 – Day 3
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Meryamana and visit the house of Virgin Mary. Continue to Ephesus the romen capital of Asia Minor. Visit the ruins of Odeon, Hercules Gate, the temple of Hadrian, the magnificient library, Agora and fantastic greco-roman theatre. After lunch visit the Basilica of St.John. Late afternoon drive to the wonderfull town of Kusadasi.
Rest of the day will be at leisure and overnight. |

October 23, 2008 – Day 4
After breakfast departure for Pergamum. Pergamum was a major city in western Asia Minor in New Testament times. It lies in a spacious valley, sixteen miles from the Aegean Sea. In the centuries before Christ, Pergamum was the capital of an independent kingdom. Its impressive temples, library, and medical facilities made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political center. By the time Revelation was written, Pergamum had become part of the Roman Empire, but because of its location and importance, the Romans used it as an administrative center for the province of Asia. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Return to Kusadas› for dinner & overnight. |
October 24, 2008 – Day 5
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Çanakkale and continue for Troy, the legendary town in the Iliad of Homeros. _Ilus, the son of Tros founded Troy in 3000 BC, and the name Troy was derived from him. The long history of Troy narrates the development of a wealthy trade city with sporadic tragic episodes, natural disasters, fires, massacres and wars only to be resurrected each time.
Troy was also known as Ilios or Ilion, a name which can be found in the Iliad, Homer's epic poem, where the poet immortalized the city through mythological characters like King Priam, Hector, Paris and the beautiful Helen. For centuries this story in the Iliad, was regarded as just a myth, until the ruins of the city were found in western Turkey at Hisarlik in the mid-19th century.

October 25, 2008 – Day 6
After breakfast cross the Dardanels strait by ferry and drive to Istanbul along the shores of Marmara sea.
