One of the best parts about summer time for most teenagers will always be scoring a couple of good theme park tickets and hitting up the roller coasters with friends. Almost all of us have spent countless days going wild at the amusement park and riding the roller coasters during our lifetimes, and these parks actually offer one of the safest and most constructive leisure activities for children and young adults that you can find. They are in a fairly safe environment, surrounded by security and other tourists, enjoying rides and games rather than out on the streets getting into all kinds of teenage mischief. When you consider that suddenly the price of the theme park tickets becomes much less of an issue, and it turns into a win/win situation all around.

This is why it is important to always let your children and teenagers go to the amusement parks at least a couple of times during the course of the summer. Sometimes this can be an overly expensive activity, but it makes a great reward for a child who has done an amazing job in school over the year, or for a teenager just starting their first real job. In fact going to a theme park is one great way to entice your son or daughter to actually get a job, since it will allow them to pay for the tickets on their own and they could even end up working at the park itself. If you think you know discounted tickets now, just wait until your child is the one working the gates!

Although sometimes going to the theme park is, of course, just a fun waste of time, other times it can be a really educational experience and provide motivation to excel in life. Use it as a reward for great achievements, or as a goal to work towards in order to encourage them to get a job or earn better grades. You could be very surprised by the results you get, and either way it will make a fun experience for the whole family in the end.
