GREETINGS

President of ENEA

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to invite you to the 13th  Meeting of the European Neuroendocrine Association, to be held in Antalya, Turkey, on October 17th-20th 2008. Recent meetings of the ENEA have attracted up to a 1000 registrants, and we anticipate that this meeting will be the most successful to date. The science and clinical practice of neuroendocrinology continues to progress in leaps and bounds, and we plan to showcase at this meeting all of the newest innovations in neuroendocrinology, with in addition many clinical sessions for all those interested in diseases of the hypothalamus and pituitary, as well as neuroendocrine tumours throughout the body. Following the two previous successful meetings in Sorrento and Athens, we are now deliberately hosting this meeting in Turkey in order to emphasise the international nature of our field, and to expand its geographic limits. We would particularly encourage registrants from the Middle East and Central Asia to increase the coverage of our organization, which includes a member from South America on its Executive Committee. Antalya has a magnificent new conference centre, and is situated in a delightful and attractive bay, with plentiful accommodation at all price levels. We hope you will immediately put this meeting in your diary as a major event in 2008, and I look forward to meeting you there.
With Warm Regards,

Ashley Grossman

Presidents of POC and LOC

On behalf of the European Neuroendocrine Association and of the Programme Organising Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to actively participate at the 13th Congress of the ENEA, which will take place in Antalya, Turkey on Oct 17 - 20, 2008.
The ENEA is organising every two years its scientific meeting that joins together basic scientists, clinical researchers and clinicians to discuss and address the many aspects of neuro-endocrinology. After the very successful meeting in Athens in 2006, the Antalya 2008 ENEA meeting will once again aim to build bridges between the lab and the clinic and to bring science from the bench to the patient. Therefore, as you can see in the preliminary program, we have inserted Meet the Experts Meetings and Symposia with divers topics that will accommodate both ends of this vertical neurendocrine spectrum of research. For sure, the Hot Topic sessions will be filled with news and discoveries that will emerge in the next year, while the Plenary Lectures will be highlights on their own. Once again, looking forward to receiving your scientific contributions, we hope and expect to see you in the pleasant environment of the Mediterranean city of Antalya in 2008 to make this a thoroughly successful meeting!
